FAQ

Maura High - Coleraine Kennels

Involvement in the breed:
I have been dog crazy as far back as I can remember. The Irish wolfhound was a dog that always intrigued me. In 1990 I got my first one and there has been no looking back. I have been involved with showing from the beginning. I try to attend as many Specialties as possible. I feel Specialties are one of the best places to learn about the breed I have done some rescue work. Fostering a few Irish wolfhounds over the years.. I breed occasionally. I try to get as close to the standard as possible, keeping health and temperament and longevity as high priorities. I feel that I have been very fortunate over the years. People have always been willing to share their knowledge about this great breed. I hope to be able to do the same, and continue to learn myself. These great animals get into your soul in away that can't be described. Beware!
