FAQ

Akiko Tatsuki Kato, PhD & Yumiko Tatsuki - DVM, Irish Wolfhounds

Involvement in the breed:
Wolfhounds have been part of our family since 1996. The breed is relatively new and rare and unfortunately there is very little information readily accessible in Japan. We are trying to educate owners and breeders alike mainly through our website and annual IW meeting events. The meeting is the only occasion for Japanese Wolfhound owners to join breed specific seminars (mainly focused on health issues) and also enjoy lure coursing for beginners. We have been involved in showing and training as well for some time. Although we are not breeding, we are happy if we could help breeders and owners by providing information to make the present and future of the breed better in this part of the world.
