Involvement in the breed:
I am brought up with dogs and I have been sharing life with wolfhounds since 2000. I have had three wolfhounds so far but I plan to spend the rest of my life with these hounds. I am  showing my dogs and participate in obedience training but the main activity that I do with my hounds is coursing. I am very interested in health issues and I try to aid the breed by for example making a large health survey of wolfhounds in Sweden or by being involved in a scientific project aiming at elucidation of genetic grounds for bone cancer. Being a scientist by profession I try to bridge the two worlds: of hounds and of science. I have established an international IW forum that aims at providing information about wolfhounds in a friendly atmosphere. I do not plan to be a breeder but I have had some experience of related issues as one of my wolfhounds is a stud with several litters and I have been involved in the whole process and lives of the little ones.
