FAQ

David and Margie Milne - Wideview Farm Irish Wolfhounds

Involvement in the breed:
We have owned wolfhounds for more than 30 years. About half of those have been 're-homed' or rescue dogs. We have always owned males and do not breed.

We show our dogs in conformation, take them lure coursing, trained in obedience and agility (note: trained, not competed) and done countless public education events with them through the years.

We belong to various clubs and organizations and served in different capacities over the years. We have both been on the board of directors of the Irish Wolfhound Club of America, David also served as Treasurer for six years and show secretary of the IWCA National Specialty as well as Trial Secretary for the National lure coursing trial. For our regional IW club we have both served in various capacities: Board of Directors, President, Match Chair, and Show Secretary (David has had that job for 22 years). Margie is currently the webmaster for our regional club.

Currently David is the Treasurer of the Irish Wolfhound Foundation, a non-profit foundation whichs provides support for many IW concerns, especially in the area of health research.

We both have done breed information for the national breed club for many years. We receive several inquiries every month - and many of those people have gone on to IW ownership and become long time friends in the fancy.
