FAQ

Debbie Sharpe - Connemara Irish Wolfhounds

Involvement in the breed:
I acquired my first two Irish Wolfhounds in 1988, as rehomes. I purchased my first showdog in 1990 and have been showing in conformation at all-breed and specialty shows ever since, in both the US and Canada. I belong to both national clubs, and try to attend as many specialties in both countries as I am able to each year.

Locally, we participate in our St. Patrick's Day parades, and I have taken dogs to local schools, as part of a report by neighborhood kids. Several of my dogs have visited group homes for mentally impaired/developmentally disabled adults and were a great hit even with autistic residents.

I've bred several litters and presently live with 8 wolfhounds, ranging in age from 7 months to 7 years. I encourage people to visit to see the dogs at home, when they are researching the breed
