FAQ

Jim & Gayle Curtis, Magma Irish Wolfhounds

Involvement in the breed:
Having admired the breed for years, our home was graced with our first wolfhound approximately 10 years ago. We quickly moved on to being full out Irish Wolfhound junkies, reading, researching and attending as many functions as a new puppy, young children and finances would allow. We both continue that addiction today, although we've gone from asking questions to answering them. We attempt obedience, and live in hope that some day one of the dogs will deign to play along. We do show conformation, and have tried lure coursing. We are often seen in the local parades and at many renaissance festivals in our area. We have taken the dogs into nursing homes, hospitals and various schools speaking on the history of these giants, answering questions, teaching little ones dog safety or just giving a cuddle. Although we do love all of our activities, some of our favorite moments are simply at home surrounded by our wolfhounds.
