Involvement in the breed:
I saw my first Irish wolfhound in 1970 and knew that at some point I would have one. I had Great Danes as a child and was not a stranger to giant breeds, but had to wait until 1982, when the time was right to be able to take one home. I  haven't been without one or more ever since. I enjoy conformation shows, have done some obedience and have had the good fortune to have some hounds that will play the game of Lure Coursing. I am secretary of Great Lakes Irish Wolfhound Association, a member of our national breed club and a member of the Chicagoland Hound Association.
