Involvement in the breed:
I acquired my first IW in 1989 from the back yard breeder who was the sister of a boyfriend. He was a sweet, if slightly shy, boy who started my love affair with the breed.

When I lost him to lymphosarcoma, I actually thought I'd not have a dog for awhile... that thought lasted a week before I decided I needed to start looking for my next IW.

I was extremely lucky to have been trusted with the IW who helped me start my contact with the larger IW world. I began to go to conformation shows, and began to be involved in performance events - lure coursing and dog racing.
